On Saturday, November 9, from 9:30am-12:30pm, I'll be moderating a panel discussion in Westwood Village with the following four fabulous literary agents:
BETSY AMSTER is president of Betsy Amster Literary Enterprises, a literary agency in Los Angeles and Portland, OR. We'll be discussing what an agent can do for you, what agents are looking for in today's authors, what kinds of books are selling in the new multimedia publishing climate, how to research agents, foolproof ways to make an agent seek you out, how to understand an agency representation agreement, which fees (such as reading fees) are controversial within the industry, and ways to ensure a long and profitable agent-client relationship.
